Is pickup really free?
Yes, for businesses. We pick up at no charge as long as you have at least 10 items in any combination of PCs, laptops, servers and network switches. Residential pickups are not available.
What if I have fewer than 10 items?
You are welcome to bring equipment to our Meridian facility during drop-off hours. Park in the spaces marked “Drop Off” and ring the buzzer at that door, and someone will come out to help you unload.
Do you accept televisions or CRT monitors?
No. We cannot take televisions of any kind, CRT (cathode ray tube) monitors, roller copiers and printers, plotters, projector bulbs, light bulbs, lead acid batteries, ballasts or appliances. Flat-panel LCD monitors are fine.
What happens to the data on my hard drives?
Drives are erased with software that follows the NIST 800-88 standard, using a 3-pass wiping procedure. Drives that cannot be wiped are physically destroyed in our Ameri-Shred commercial shredder, along with SSDs, backup tapes and DVDs when needed.
Can I get a certificate of destruction?
Yes. Ask us for a certificate of destruction and we will provide one for your records or your auditors.
What happens to equipment that still works?
Our first goal is reuse. Working equipment is refurbished and either donated to schools, churches, families in need and charitable organizations, or sold through wholesale channels. Anything that is not reusable is recycled through certified downstream service providers so it stays out of the landfill.
Will you pay me for my equipment?
Possibly. If your equipment is less than three years old, our reimbursement program may return cash for it. Call or email us with a list of what you have and we will let you know.
What areas do you serve?
We operate out of Meridian and serve businesses and organizations throughout Idaho and eastern Oregon, including Boise, Nampa, Caldwell, Eagle, Kuna and the rest of the Treasure Valley.
What certifications do you hold?
We are R2v3 certified through the Sustainable Electronics Recycling International (SERI) standard and RIOS certified, we are a member of ISRI, and our certifications are audited by Perry Johnson Registrars under ANAB accreditation.
What are your hours?
We are open Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. We are closed on weekends.
